Experimental Approach of the Quality of Analog Receivers in an Overlay Spread Spectrum Scenario

This paper presents results of a laboratory test held to examine the conditions under which analog PAL-G and analog FM signals can share spectrum with Spread Spectrum systems. RF protection ratios and SNR Degradation for both PAL-G television and FM radio systems are derived in the case of co-channel spread spectrum interference. Results for different Spread Spectrum RF bandwidths and carrier frequency offsets between the analogue and digital signals are also included in the experiments.
